This is my naration of this great children’s book which was the only book written by the late Stephen Gately. I really believe it’s a great book of it’s kind, quite old school with flavours of Enid Blyton and Narnier. So while it’s a book for children, I think adults would like it too for its nostalgic take on children’s literature. I’m not an audio book reader by proffession, but I have done voice over work and it’s always been a hobby of mine. I recorded this for my wife who is blind. She wanted to read the book being a Gately fan, but the only accessible version is the kindle download. While the Kindle voice is of course better than nothing, it doesn’t bring the book to life and it’s hard to concentrate on it. So I made this recording. I don’t see how I’m doing anything too bad by sharing it as there is no audio book version and as far as I’ve been able to find out there’s no plans to make one. I think it’s a shame that people with sight problems won’t get to appreciate this story, so that’s why I’m uploading it. I would ask though if you do download it and enjoy it that you consider buying the book as a mark of respect for the author and to ease my conscience. Please let me know in the comment section if there’s any problem with the upload.

I have no idea that Stephen Gately of Boyzone wrote a book. Moreover, I haven’t even known that he is dead. RIP.

uhm it doesn’t download.
I love the book, i read it few times, but wanted to listen in audiobook form as the experience is much different and i got a young one who would love to listen to it aswell…

But 1 thing.
Can u please remove the too loud noicy classical music as it is not something u use in audiobook.
I love how its been read. I got the book few years now, but when laying on bed releaxing i prefer audiobook but instead of releaxing with audiobook. I find myself trying to focus on hearing the words but it difficult with the music.
Please REMOVE THE CLASSICAL MUSIC and repost it without the classical music because without classical music it will be perfect.
Sorry for the critism, but i rather be honest and direct with chance for aprovement than being annoyed by something that can be approved.
